Post is currently the hot trend in the health world. If you've seen it, you've probably given some consideration of whether it actually works. Let's look at some of the issues involved.
The first thing you must consider what we mean by this is done? People fast for many different reasons. Some do it to lose weight. Others go for a general cleaning out your system. Others feel the gastrointestinal tract provides a break from processing the food we eat and the others see it from a spiritual point of view.
My personal experience is juice fasting can work in all of these situations to one degree or another. Let's start with weight loss. Juice is generally good for you, but it's not a great weight loss food, because it is high in calories and low in bulk. Given this, one would think you would gain weight drinking only juice. You really do not, for two reasons. First, it will quickly eliminate the bulky, heavy foods that are on your system and intestines. Second, do not drink tons of juice every day and moderation will keep total calories down. Generally, you can expect to lose weight at a juice fast with a lot going on quickly, and then tapered off.
What is the process of cleaning? I found that it requires a bit blurry before I started doing juice fasting, but ultimately found to be most accurate. Depending on the juice you use, your body will begin to be cleaned by the expulsion of all sorts of toxins from the fat, liver, kidneys and so on. I would actually get a short 15 minute spells and high temperatures, fever and general ill feeling when I made my first post. I did experienced the faster I walked through it. This is a price well worth paying. When I came to soon after five days, I felt better than I had in a long time. It's like being born again! It is in this way and I believe that many people find the kind of spiritual side that quickly.
So, do not do juice fasting? If you lost some weight and feeling remarkably better numbers, then I would say not.
