Cheese is one of my favorite foods. Certainly there are reasons that I thought about giving up (on farm animal cruelty to be one of those reasons), but in the end I always came back to eat cheese because it taste so good. Cheese has been involved in so many different recipes and it seems almost every taste a little better. But is not that bad for you? Not at all. In fact, cheese has a surprising number of health benefits. Of course, you want to always eat fatty foods like cheese in moderation, but it's nice to know that eating a large component of this can actually be good for you.

Here are nine advantages of cheese just to surprise you:

First Cheese is great for your teeth. Cheese is a food that is rich in calcium. Calcium is something you need if you have good, strong teeth. Cheese has been shown to reduce plaque and stimulate saliva, which helps to keep the mouth clean. If you dread going to the dentist because they do not want to hear that your teeth are getting bad then you might want to think about how cheese can help! (Of course, you still do not have to brush and floss!)
