National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is the leading U.S. government agency responsible for conducting research focused on basic-science, disease-oriented research, global environmental health, clinical research, and multidisciplinary training for researchers.
NIEHS consistently working to reduce the burden caused human illness and disability through in-depth understanding of how environmental factors can influence the creation and promotion of human diseases.
NIEHS, in close collaboration with on the National Science Foundation (NSF) recently announced a funding opportunity called Centers for oceans and human health (COHH ).
COHH Program requires the collection of grant proposals that include processes for solving problems that involve the oceans and human health.
primary function COHH program is to provide links between people in the ocean sciences and the biomedical community in the hope that it will support interdisciplinary studies in places where a thorough understanding of marine processes and ecosystems harbor the ability to reduce public health risks.
